Harry Roth took up photography in the depression, an expensive hobby in lean times. My grandmother was not thrilled. A bit like Norman Rockwell with a camera; no matter what lens he used, each seemed rose tinted.

Good hats. Clearly a big day out.
The one that looks like she's about 8 is my mom. My Grandmother, Rose Roth, is the one holding her with an white gloved - vice like - grip.
Miriam is next to my mom. All of these young women were waiting to see their husbands who were in the army, during WW2. I think the men were training at Fort Dix.
