Harry Roth took up photography in the depression, an expensive hobby in lean times. My grandmother was not thrilled. A bit like Norman Rockwell with a camera; no matter what lens he used, each seemed rose tinted.
This little set are so funny and cute at the same time. As you say, Dave - these are pure "Rockwell Americana".
